Pelling
is a town in the district of West Sikkim, India. Magnificent views of the
snow-capped Kanchenjunga range, the third highest peak in the world. Pelling is
about 130 km away from Siliguri and 115km from Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim.
Pelling offers good view of the entire Kanchenjunga mountain range including
Koktang, Kumbhakaran (Jannu), Rathong, Kabru, Kabru Dome, Kanchenjunga, Pandim,
Siniolchu and others.

Lake:
Khecheopalri Lake, originally known as Kha-Chot-Palri, is a sacred Lake for

Chojo Lepcha village, monastery and cave. About 28kms from Pelling at a height
of about 6000ft is Khecheopalri Lake.
Khechepalri lake is also acknowledged as the wishing lake.
Rimbi
Waterfalls:
The Rimbi Waterfalls is one of the tourist attractions of Sikkim which is
located about 12kms from Pelling at about 5kms from the Darap Village. One can
also visit Khecheodpalri Lake and Rock garden as part of local sightseeing.
Rabdentse
Ruins:
This was the second capital of the erstwhile kingdom of Sikkim after Yuksom and
till the year 1814 A.D., the king of Sikkim ruled the state from this place.
The scenic view from the top of the ruin scanning across deep valley to the
mystic heights of Kangchenjunga ranges is something to be cherished and etched
in memory.

airport from Pelling is Bagdogra Airport.
Rail: The trains
generally come into either New Jalpaiguri or Siliguri. From there, visitors may
proceed to Pelling by “Toy-Train” or bus or taxi, Limo Van or Land Rover to
Pelling.
Road: Pelling is
connected with all weather metaled road with Siliguri, Kalimpong, Gangtok etc.
